I’m coming to my readers/follows/and fellow bloggers family as a mother. My 13 year old son was making eggs at his friends house this morning with cooking oil (he knows better on that) but as he was emptying the pan with his left hand the oil splattered. It burned his right arm from the elbow down to his hand. The worst part is the second degree burns on his wrist with the entire forearm and hand are 1st degree burns bordering on the line of 2nd degree.
He is in immense pain and agony. I know this isn’t an emergency but as a mother I’m having a difficult time seeing my son hurting so bad.
The reason I wrote this post was to reach out to all of you for prayers, good vibes, positivity, support, advice, kindness or anything else. I thank you all for taking the time to read this.
XOXO- Jen
hope he’s much better…cold water…stops the burning…hmm, not sure that’s best with grease…

Thank you for your help. We did the cold water but Doctor said only for 30 minutes. The worst part were the 2nd degree burns on his wrist and thumb but the wrist has the thinnest skin and most nerves.

Once I read a quote that said, “to be a mother is to forever have your heart walking around outside of your body.” It’s so true!

Mother to mother…my heart aches for you. We are only as happy as our unhappiest child, so I know you are hurting to. I will be praying for your son most especially to St. John. Saint John is recognized today as the patron of those suffering from burns. His feast day is December 27th! I will also pray for your motherly heart. May your be given the perseverance to help your child through this trial. Hugs & Blessings!

I am so sorry to hear about your son Jen. If that happens to my son I will be very distressed and it will be hard for me to see him hurting too. As a mother we want our child’s pain to be transferred to us if we can. I hope he will get well soon, my prayers for him and your family.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. Healing thought his way. Has he been to the Dr. They could give him Sylvadine cream to help with the pain and healing.

I am truly blessed to have such wonderful followers! Thank you for your prayers, healing thoughts, and kindness. Yes, we did get the medicine ointment called in. It took me hours to get him calmed down and he is resting peacefully at the moment.
