If you could remove one obstacle from your life what would it be?

Standard

If you could pick just one thing that is holding you back and remove it from you current situation what might that be? This is the question I asked myself (as the title says).  While thinking of the answer I began wondering of the many things I might would change in my life but at what cost?

Here is the dilemma, by removing one obstacle what would I be changing and could this affect my future. We all think that if we had more money, or different living situations, etc. things would be better.  However, would it really be or would it bring more challenges in our life? With that said, I feel that I am where I am at for a reason.  Yes, I would love to be healthy, have more money, drive a fancy car and so on.  This is just materialistic besides the health.

Even when we look at others and think they have everything, behind close doors I am sure there is something they wish they could change.  I sometimes think what life would be like if I didn’t have all the health issues I deal with but my health is what inspired me to create my blog.  I use my health problems as a platform for speaking to others.  I want each and every person to know that the best thing to do when dealing with a health crisis is to stay positive and know that things could be worse.  I don’t know if that is the best way of putting things but this is how I look at it.

I feel God has presented these obstacles in my life for a reason and he has a plan for me.  I always look at the saying, “ God gives his toughest challenges to his strongest warriors.”

Lastly, I would love to hear your opinions and thoughts on this question and how you might answer it.  Please feel free to speak freely and honest.  I want to thank all my readers/followers and bloggers community for reading this and as always would love to hear your comments.

What was your favorite game….

Source: What was your favorite game….

I published this yesterday and decided to reblog it today, hoping that readers will be willing to share more because I have been encouraged by 2 bloggers to make this a weekly post. You can click on the link above for the original post but no need, here is the post:

What is your favorite pastime game or TV show to watch? Please comment below.

I grew up in the 80’s and 90’s and a friend of mine asked this question on Facebook. I thought it would be fun to think back, before social media, about it.
I was born in 1981 to give you an idea. I loved to play tag, red rover, freeze tag, hide and seek, jump rope, dodgeball, and take a big box outside and play house. As I got a bit older we got a trampoline that my sister and I loved to jump on. Before my parents got our basement finished we would skate downstairs then rollerblades came out. That was all the rage! Of course bike riding was fun too. I have always loved writing so I had my secret diary with key then a journal as I got older. In school, I loved getting notes in my locker, sleepovers, and talking on the phone. I can’t forget love letters and secret admirers.
When it comes to television, I mainly watched Saturday morning shows. My favorite was Saved by the Bell! Other shows I liked were Full House, Fresh Prince of Bel Air, and of course after school specials. I loved my music and loved getting a CD or recording tapes of songs from the radio. The best is getting a tape from a boy with love songs. My favorite band/singers/boy bands were Aerosmith, Boys to Men, The Quad City djs, Micheal Jackson, Paula Abdul, Nirvana, Insync (Justin Timberlake), Jessica Simpson, and the list goes on.
Please comment below and share your pastime memories. I look forward to hearing from all of you reading this.

Finding inspiration in a photograph

Standard

IMG_1381

This a picture I took myself and wanted to use it for our Writing 101, Day 4 assignment. The last task was using one word for inspiration and this task is along the same lines but using a photograph for inspiration. I wanted to use this photo because when I saw this and snapped a pic with my cell phone, At first, I wondered what this even was.

Let me give you some clues:

  1. The picture was taken after a rainstorm
  2. It was taken in the parking lot
  3. It was the beginning of Summer
  4. The picture contains 3 elements: asphalt (parking lot), water, and the yellow swirls are up to you to guess.

I never understood why this photo brought so much happiness in me soul.  I felt this picture capture something so beautiful but the yellow swirls are usually an annoyance to some. It doesn’t bring me down but my fiance and son are affected by it. I don’t know if this is even making sense to anyone reading this but brings joy to me when I view this picture.

Enough rambling on, if you haven’t determined what the yellow swirls are in the picture, I hope you smile or laugh when I tell you. The yellow substance is POLLEN that the cars in the our apartment parking lot were coated in! The rainstorm washed it away and this was the final product. I just can’t explain how much amazement I find when I look at the photograph.

I would love to hear your thoughts on the picture and as always love any and all feedback

Good night all!

Who many of YOU would…

Standard

I have been working on my 1st ebook to publish and sale on Amazon. The ebook will be one of three that will each be sold at less than $1.00.

To give you an idea of the 1st book here is a brief description. Since my blog is Motivation for Today’s Reality, I felt the initial book of the three be about the influence media has over our life from reality television, social media, music, celebrities lives, and the list is unbelievable long. There are studies showing that 98% of the brain and way of thinking from birth to our current age is a direct influence from the media. There is much more to the story with more in depth information but I can’t give away to much.

Personally, I would be grateful, if my fellow bloggers and readers would comment about their views and if you would be interested in purchasing a book for less than a $1 and the other 2 books of the series will be each $1 too. The second book concerns growing up, Your an adult now what, and the last book of the 3 will be inspiring stories based off actual true events letting the reader know they aren’t alone.

I hope to get some feedback/comments from you all and if you would rather contact me personally please do at, jenmotivates12@gmail.com.

What more can I do?

Standard

I am wanting to interact with my fellow bloggers/readers/team players but I seem to be having trouble getting any response from anyone. What can I do to REALLY grab your attention because my goal is to turn my experiences into motivation for others.
I am working on an ebook that will be interactive for readers so that the readers can choose which path is best for them. I set up my email so that I can be reached for personal interaction.
This blog was created to bring more positivity, empowerment, and motivation for all but I can’t make this happen without your feedback. Please help me or show me, anything that I can draw in more of an audience but most important, feedback and support.

Quick question for YOU

Standard

So I am on my way when it comes to gaining new followers. However, I want to hear from my followers more because I started this blog so I could motivate my followers but also I want to be there for all of you out there. I want my readers to SPEAK UP and tell me what you want to hear, not hear, ask questions, tell me what I am missing. Don’t be afraid to speak out, and if you think you will hurt my feelings, believe me I probably need to hear it. I want to have a successful blog but my readers will be the ones to help me accomplish my goals and dreams but also keep me accountable. I really want to know what caught your eye to make you follow me…….
