Let’s get the ball rolling!

Standard

I want to make this post to the point because my original post was lost on my iPad due to the app crashing.  I have a few requests of my fellow readers/followers and future followers.  I hope to hear from many of you and please don’t hesitate to comment because my goals for this year will be more successful with the help of my fellow bloggers/readers because I consider us a team.  I want to get straight to the point:

1. I am searching for an application to have group video chat sessions.  I tried out the app, Skype but didn’t feel it was right for what I was looking for.  I am reaching out to all of you for ideas, suggestions, or specific apps that you think would be good to use and free to join, for the video sessions I am planning on having at least 2 or more times a month.  I do not want to do videos or just posts, I want to have a way that is interactive, allowing discussions, questions, and more to happen in the present.

2. I am looking for guest bloggers or guests willing to do interviews and even poetry writers, that have a story to share or experience that is either motivating, empowering, uplifting, encouraging, or learned lessons.  Basically, like the title of my blog says, Motivation for today’s reality.

3. Next I will be creating an email that will be ONLY for this blog.  I want to be able to interact with all my readers in as many ways as possible.  I am considering creating a Facebook page but want to see how this turns out over the next few weeks.  I will be providing the new email in the next couple hours.  This email is so you can contact me anytime and I will make a promise to read each and every email and respond in 24 hours or less.

4. Lastly,  in my last post, I wrote about the ideas I had and topics for the upcoming year.  Are there any topics that I didn’t include that you would like to be considered?

I am going to finish up here and get started on setting up that email and really hoping to hear your feedback.  This blog was started to motivate others and without your feedback I can’t know what my readers want.  I also will be posting an outline of the e-book I am wanting to write this year and will looking for feedback about it too.

Why I chose this title for my blog

Standard

I was doing some research and came across the blog daily press.  I really want to build my blog so I downloaded their e-book, “365 Days of Writing Prompts.”  I picked the prompt for February 12th to start.

Explain why you chose your blog’s title and what it means to you.

The title of my blog, Motivation for today’s Reality, was something I knew would be my title long before I created my blog.  I have always wanted to be a motivational speaker.  A few posts back I posted the definition of “reality,” and how media calls them reality shows but the majority of these reality shows are planned out and edited so to boost ratings.  In the United States, 97% of what we learn comes from media.  That needs to change and quickly because it is plain as day that media is affecting our youth and even adults.

I want my blog to motivate, empower, encourage, and  more.  I want my readers to feel they can come to me and I will listen without judging.  I want to turn those frowns upside down and into smiles.  I want every reader to know they are beautiful, handsome, smart, special, and to never let anyone take that away from you.  We all have unique qualities that make us individuals and you should hold your head high to acknowledge that.

I need to hear from you out there…..

I have been wracking my brain on how to allow comments and just couldn’t figure it out.   That is till tonight. When you click on the individual post it gives you a place at the bottom to leave your comments.  I am working on starting a business that is along the lines of a job staffing company but instead of jobs the focus is on empowerment, positivity, helping others, encouragement, working together, and so much more.  I am planning on doing a round table discussion through video chat (probably Skype) in the next week or so.   It is open to all who are interested.  I can’t do this alone.  If you are interested please leave a comment with your email and I will be in touch.  If you feel uncomfortable leaving your email then you can email me at jlbarger126@gmail.com with your information.

Females listen up!

Standard

For years now I have never been able to grasp the reality of women hating on other women. With the women movements I would think we would be supportive of one another. This is a foreign concept to many women and I don’t understand why. I feel in some ways we as females are racist towards our fellow females.

We wonder why women still make less then men or why there are so few women in politics. The reason is our own selfishness and jealousy. We have to stop being so insecure and start supporting our fellow females, being better friends, voting for female candidates ( if you agree with their views of course), stop having affairs or sleeping with our girlfriends man, be happy if your friend gets that job promotion and the list is never ending.

To all that read this, tell your friends today something nice or compliment them. Let’s work together to empower one another and set the standard for our youth to follow.
